Panelists
Alexis Doshas
nursery manager at Native Plant Trust’s Nasami Farm, Whately, MA
Alexis is the nursery manager at Native Plant Trust’s Nasami Farm, where they grow thousands of native plants from wild ecotype seed to ensure genetic diversity and resiliency in our landscapes, and where she teaches classes on propagation and native plant and soil ecology.
Jasmin Callahan
founder owner Dragonfly Natives, Westport, MA
Jasmin Callahan brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience in plant production, having worked in settings ranging from an organic vegetable and flower farm with a large annual plant sale to a wholesale nursery. These roles shaped her understanding of how propagation methods, scheduling decisions, and production timelines directly affect both plant quality and business viability.
In 2024, Jasmin founded Dragonfly Natives in response to a growing demand for locally grown native plants, with a focus on plug trays. Working with ecotypic seed and regionally adapted species, Dragonfly Natives aims to provide high-quality plants for landscapers, designers, and restoration projects.
Mark Brownlee
founder ArcheWild, Quakertown, PA
Douglas Mainhart
ArcheWild nursery manager
ArcheWild is a mission-driven ecological restoration company dedicated to helping large landowners, government agencies, and conservancies restore authentic ecological function to landscapes across the Mid-Atlantic region.
The plant nursery began in 2010 to supply regional and national organizations with eco- typed native plants that were hard to find or not in production anywhere else. ArcheWild was one of the first, true restoration native plant nurseries, growing large quantities of ecoregion-specific, seed-grown plants for restoration clients.
