APCC and partners are monitoring numerous ponds across the Cape for cyanobacteria blooms. This map provides up to date information about testing results that APCC provides to respective towns. Please check with your local health or natural resource department about health/pet advisories.
APCC works with the Cape’s towns to identify and prioritize projects that will improve water quality, habitat restoration and other natural resource improvements.
In 2019 with funding from Massachusetts Environmental Trust, APCC embarked on a project to answer the question, “How healthy are the waters of Cape Cod?” The interactive map paints the region-wide picture of water quality on Cape Cod based on an evaluation of water quality data obtained from various environmental groups throughout the Cape.
