Salt Marshes: Natural Protection in a Changing Climate

When: Wednesday, December 10, 2025
1:00 p.m.

Where: APCC’s Koppel Center
482 Main St (Rte 6A), Dennis 02638

Salt marshes provide numerous ecosystem services, such as buffering against storm impacts, sustaining commercial and recreational fish species, and removing pollutants from protected water resources. Unfortunately, they face multiple threats due to historic and current human land use practices. Restoration of the natural salt marsh structure (hydrology, vegetation, and elevation) is critical to maintaining these important ecosystem functions.

The presentation will be about 45 minutes long with time for questions.
