Be part of Cape Cod’s spring comeback. In this talk, Mike Palmer, APCC restoration ecologist, offers an up-to-date look at river herring science—what we’re learning about population trends, habitat needs, and the role of pond and stream conditions in recovery. He’ll share how Cape Cod monitoring data are used to track runs and guide action on the ground, from fish passage projects to stormwater improvements that protect spawning habitat. You’ll also learn how the volunteer counting program works and how to join the 2026 team across 18 Cape Cod runs.
