APCC presents Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf

At Cape Cinema, Thursday, June 7th at 7pm

“For me, garden design isn’t just about plants, it is about emotion, atmosphere, a sense of contemplation. You try to move people with what you do. You look at this, and it goes deeper than what you see. It reminds you of something in the genes — nature, or the longing for nature.” ~ Piet Oudolf

Piet Oudolf, a Dutch nurseryman, author and perhaps the most influential garden designer of our time, has radically redefined what gardens can be. One example of Piet’s work is the High Line in NYC. As Rick Darke says to Piet in the film, “your work teaches us to see what we have been unable to see.” Through poetic and masterful cinematography, filmmaker Thomas Piper reveals all that Piet sees, and celebrates the nature of plants in landscape design.

Come and enjoy a beautifully filmed documentary.

Tickets $15. A portion of the proceeds support APCC’s programs.
