Hometown Habitat is an environmental education documentary focused on showing how and why native plants are critical to the survival and vitality of local ecosystems. Entomologist Doug Tallamy's research, books and lectures sound the alarm about habitat and species loss, but also carry the hopeful message that by planting native plants in our landscape we will make a difference. Professor Tallamy provides the narrative thread throughout Hometown Habitat and the message is that each individual has the power to conserve resources, restore habitat for wildlife, and bring beauty to their patch of earth.
